Hello!
If you've found this page then you know I'm Sara Pearson, Illustrator, Creator, mom, wife and lover of pizza. I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be an artist and I don't believe there was a year in elementary school where I wasn't awarded a certificate for "Most Creative"...so if that doesn't sell you on my abilities, I'm not sure what will.
My love for art led me to get a BA in Fine Arts from Bethel University with a focus on photography. After which, I moved to CA and worked for a fine art gallery and framing studio. Eventually, I landed back in Minneapolis and found myself on the print and photography side of the design world, working with clients from Red Wing Shoes to Select Comfort beds. As I spent more time in the photo studio I began to work as a freelance photo stylist for Target, Coolibar, MindWare and many others, but along the way there was always a love for illustration.
In recent years, I’ve explored a variety of creative paths and found new
inspiration through illustration courses at MCAD. I’ve also been expanding my portfolio and focusing more on editorial illustration, which has been a great way to combine my love for visual storytelling with thoughtful content. I’ve also sharpened my skills by drawing countless unicorns, rainbows, and puppies for two small humans who seem to have a sixth sense for knowing exactly when I’m trying to take a quiet moment for myself.
These days, you’ll often find me in the middle of a watercolor project for a gift shop or my online store. I love making greeting cards, stickers, and fulfilling orders through with Etsy. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me.
If you have something in mind, I’d love to hear about it.
